Warehouse Supervisor

Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe management of stock and dispatch activities as well as providing leadership to subordinates, driving operational excellence through effective stock control, equipment maintenance, and process compliance, and support the overall supply chain by ensuring timely, accurate, and secure picking, verification and movement of goods.
Responsibilities
• Manage all stock movements (receiving, transfers, issues, and returns).
• Ensure real-time correspondence between physical stock and the Warehouse Management Systems.
• Follow up on warehouse equipment maintenance schedules and ensure they are in good conditions at all times.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Implement and follow recommended Stock issuance strategies.
• Supervise and train warehouse staff and contracted labor force.
• Implement and adhere to warehouse standard operations procedures and ensure strict compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within and around the warehouse.
• Maintain accurate activity records and documents, prepare periodic reports, and update activity reports as required.
• Any other ethical duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, transport, logistics, or any other related field.
- Professional qualifications in CIPS or CILT is an added advantage.
Working experience
- Minimum of 02 years in a supervisory role in a busy FMCG store or warehouse environment
or
Minimum of 04 years in an officer role in a busy FMCG store or warehouse environment.
Skills and abilities
- Strong understanding of warehouse and dispatch processes.
- Familiar with demand forecasting, and stock management.
- Good at process compliance
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication, attention to details, team work.
- Ability to work under pressure and make time-sensitive decisions.
- Familiar with Microsoft office, Google suites and ERP system particularly SAP, Odoo ERP.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Inventory Accuracy Rate of 99%
- Inventory shrinkage rate of less than 0.01%
- FIFO Compliance Rate of 100% adherence.
- Outbound OTIF of at least 95%
- 100% staff trained on SOPs, safety, and new processes
- SOP Compliance Score of at least 95% during internal audits
- Documentation timeliness and accuracy of 100% error-free documents (GRNs, GINs, GRTNs, Non-conformities, Inventory performance reports, Hygiene checklists).
- Real-Time System Updates within 30mins of activity.
- Safety incident rate of 0% per every 48 hours of active work.
