Sales Representative

JOB SUMMARY

The job exists to enable the company to meet its strategic objective of growing Sales in the distribution channels, Improving Penetration at the Wholesale, retail & End Users. The job holder is assigned an area and is responsible for Opening New Customer Accounts, Generating Sales Orders, Market Intelligence analysis and customer service excellence.

6. Growing the customer base and making a genuine effort to sell.

7. SKU and Customer listing


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


• Delivery of weekly and monthly volume targets in the assigned territories.

• Collecting and compiling market statistics on selling/ buying prices, stock/ purchase levels, brand availability/ market share and source of supply.

• Analysing trends/ variances through preparation of weekly reports.

• Implementation of required plans at outlets for example posters/ signages, delivery, price communication, etc.

• Identify customer needs; document customer complaints and follow up resolution of Wholesaler complaints.

• Receive customer orders, and ensure timely delivery of orders and  collection of dues.

• Ensure proper credit management by adhering to agreed customer credit guidelines.

• Recommend setting up of distribution networks/ customer acquisition.

• Participate in forecasts and sales plan preparation in area of best effort.

• Establish and ensure maintenance of good relations with Wholesale customers.

• Other special assignments that will be assigned in the area of best effort.

Relevant Experience
  • 1. Diploma / Degree in Business, Commerce or Marketing from a recognized University
  • 2. Minimum of 2 years-working experience in FMCG
  • 3. Knowledge of local languages
Key Skills
  • 1. Report writing skills
  • 2. Driving skills
  • 3. Basic computer skills and knowledge of excel and Microsoft word
  • 4. Good Analytical skills (able to understand basic profit & loss calculations)
  • 5. Must be an excellent communicator
